Apr 25, 2008 22-oz bottle received via trade with 5000. Pours clear orange with an average, fizzy, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, meal), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine, citrus), average yeast (sweat) with notes of pear, apple, and peach. Medium bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Jul 9, 2007 On tap at Humpy’s in Anchorage. Pours a translucent golden copper with a medium bubbly white head that left some lacing. Aroma of some fresh hops with citrus, some banana, flavor and some caramel malt. Flavor of citrus, floral and some more of that banana/clove. Did they use some hefe yeast in this IPA? Also got some cereal grains, a decent hop bitterness followed by a nice malty graininess.

Nov 29, 2007 Bottle at Pt Loma Seafood. Orange gold with a small head. The hops have fallen quite a bit and you can also get a bit of soggy cardboard. Athlugh the code seems to say 9/19/07, this been has seen better days. There is a decent citrus to it though along with a scent (chinook?) hoppiness. I’d love to try this beer fresher.

Feb 10, 2008 On tap @ the Hungry Stick Pool Bar. Pours orange with a little head. Taste is sweet, light and overall decently hoppy. Pretty drinkable IPA.

Mar 27, 2008 Bottle. Beautiful gold with thick head which leaves an artistic inch of lace around the glass. That is the aroma I associate with IPAs. Strong citrus. Not overpowering, just perfect for the style. Powerful but restrained hop taste. Lots of delicious citrus taste. I love hops and for brewers it is easy to keep adding them but there is something enticing about hitting a clear note.

Oct 14, 2007 From skyview, a below average ipa. Dry aroma with hops. Herbal hop flavor. Dry finish. Light gold color. Alaskan can do better.

Mar 9, 2009 Bottle. Pours with a small, foamy white head over a chill hazed, yellow to gold body. Light lace. Aroma is grassy and grainy with a few citrus hops (very mellow). A bit of bread and a touch of wheat. Taste is grainy with some pine hops, a bit of soggy malt, and a touch of caramel. A touch of spicy hops. Lively carbonation and watery. Alcohol is a bit noticeable.
