Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light orange-hued body with a lush, bubby off-white head. Smell: Pleasantly aromatic nose of citrus and soap with a mild addition of caramel malts. Taste: Juicy citrus flavors of lemon and tangerine. Only a faint hint of caramel as not too much maltiness shows up. There’s a medium bitterness which drops out for a pretty clean, light finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: It could use a bit more of everything, but as it stands it’s still a decent, easy drinking light IPA.

0.355 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Orange color. The aromas of juicy hops with orange and apricot. Orange-apricot hop flavor with toffee. The bitterness is firm but could be still stronger. Pleasant easy IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a fluffy white head. Sweet citrus and pine aroma. Light, watery body and medium carbonation. Taste is lightly sweet toffee and citrus with a crisp spruce finish. Everything about this beer except the 6.4 ABV says lawnmower.

bottle from SecretSanta ( Thanks!) My first alaska beer, and this is a good one, probalby the easiest drinking IPA i’ve had, its not overwhelming with hops which normally would dock the rating but this drank so smooth with just the right bitterness, i could drink gallons.

(11/4/08) Bottle at some place called "Sneak Joint" in Mission Beach, San Diego, that is standing where Liar’s Club used to be. Slightly hazy deep golden color. Aroma of hops, citrus hints and a bit of malt. Sweetish malty flavor at first that continues hoppy and bitter with pine and light floral and citrus notes. Medium-bodied. Not bad.

Draft @ Tin Fish, San Diego. Copper and clear, with a small head. Aroma is citrus and pine resin. Flavor is mostly the same with some nutty malt for balance. Finishes with more resiny hops. Light-medium body is watery and slightly dry.

Bottle. Light grain note for the malt, moderate aroma of flowers for the hops, no noticeable yeast smell, and a hint of wood in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor is lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, has a carbonation between lively and fizzy and finishes dry. Pretty simple on the aromas, but as crisp and clean as an IPA gets.
