Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

Clear gold w/ big white head. Good fresh aroma. Fresh hoppy flavor too w/ a good bite to it. Crisp finish. Dry but OK. Sort of reminds me of Stone IPA. Would immediately go into the regular rotation if I could get it here. Excellent & underrated.

Tap at the Yard House Las Vegas. I don’t believe how low this beer is rated. Aroma is full with grapefruit and blossom, hops aren’t immense but they are present and accounted for. Good citric intensity with piney outlines. Highly drinkable yet well-crafted.

Aroma is full of nice piney hps and nice complimentary malts. The appearance is a light golden color, which is very clean in appearance. The head is a thin white collar. Flavor is very nice with a nice amount of hops, matls, spices, and a real clean taste, perhaps due to the quality of the water. The palate is very easy to drink, smooth all the way through. The quality of the water in the mix is unequaled. Excellent brew.

Bottle at Paley’s Place, Portland. Beautiful tawny tan colour. Aroma of creamed caramel, malts and corn. Smooth mouthfeel showcasing exquisite balance in it’s flavour. The slight bitter hint in the finish is excellent. A true classic IPA owing more to the UK style than monster hop bombs.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a light orangish golden color. Light earthy citrusy hoppiness on the nose. Very dry hoppiness, but the flavor is very muted. Not that great. re-rate 3-5-09 This is a hell of a session IPA, of course fresh could help, as I am in NW MT now, but it was well balanced with a nice piney floral hoppiness and a nice subtle malt backbone.

Pours a clear golden with lots of effervessence and a good billowy white head. Aroma is grassy with some nice citrus. I’ve had countless IPAs with grassy aromas, but I doubt I’ve ever had one with a grassy flavor, until now. Very earthy, wonderfully spicy with a very good hoppiness, but not without a strong malt backbone with a good grainyness. This is really a nice IPA, far better than I had expcected, if a bit one dimensional.
