| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Bronze gold with clean whiffs of PNW hops and a similarly clean, crisp palate of fresh hops with perhaps some Chinook bitterness that is enjoyable on the finish. Not as good as their ESB, but this is a very solid and drinkable APA/IPA. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a thin lasting head and very nice lace. Aroma is grassy nutty earthy minty, english and tea-like hops, and light citrus. Flavor is clean, some grass, light herbs, mint, tea, toast, cracker with a crisp finish- light on the hops and bittering. Average at best. Seems too old school-like. Gotta get with the times and step up the hops even for a regular IPA. kyzr (1123), Belgrade, Montana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Copper pour with white head. Typical aroma of an IPA. Flavor is not as hoppy as the nose lets on, flavor is light citrus at first then fades into a malty balance. Finish is not really over the top hoppy like a lot of west coast IPAs. Rather clean finish. TipsyMcStager (928), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2007 12 oz. bottle, from Fred Meyer in Newberg, OR. Pours clear orangey-amber with a small off-white head that diminished quickly. Nice hoppy aroma, floral and citrus with undertones of toasty malts and fresh summer fruit. Flavor is a strange combination of brash and mild, with a nice hop blast that seemed to come and go as I sipped - one time it hit me up front, then quickly gave way to mild toasty malt water, then another time, the mild toasty malt water started out and the hop blast came on in the finish - weird! Anyway, hops are floral and citrus with a bit of spiciness and the malts remain lightly toasty with periodic glimpses of toffee. Light to medium body and agressive carbonation. Not my favorite IPA by any stretch, but definiitely different and interesting. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2005 Draught @ Brouwer’s Cafe pours light amber, orange hued, small milky white head, strong carbonation, with very nice brewers lace.   Not terribly hop oriented on the nose, malty however, and even maybe a bit of tobacco.   Slightly bitter tongue, more tobacco, and also some grapefruit.   At least it has a decent malt backbone.   Body and mouthfeel seem fairly average.   Malty finish, luckily very slight tobacco this time, with lingering grapefruit.   Doesn’t seem as hoppy/crisp as most other IPAs.   Needs more HOP JUICE!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2008 Bottles. It’s a fizzy yellow beer with a bit of kick. Clear, too light to be honey body with a white head and OK lace. Aroma is wanting with a touch of hops, a touch of malts. Mouth is decent with medium body and a relatively dry finish. Flavor includes mild hops, a touch of sugar, and that’s about it. It’s a sad IPA, but a decent beer when I just "want a beer" without much care about what it is.
