Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

12oz bottle pours out a dark gold topped with a nice white head. A great aroma and tast of hops. pretty good for a IPA from Alaska. O ya what is up with the surfer on the bottle???

Nice hoppy taste and aroma not very bitter. The malt flavor really has trouble coming against the hops. A decent IPA but nothing outstanding amongst the many other choices that are available.

this is new to the Bay area Burnished gold - clear with medium off white head. Lean malt background (light caramel) with medium light body - An un-east coast IPA - firm bitterness with pine, grapefruit pith characteristics. Nothing too much in the aroma some grapefruit and floral notes Good beer nothing special to seek out

Bottle. Pours a light orange/amber color with a white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus and piney hops, grainy malts and some grapefruit. Flavor is lightly sweet with caramel, citrus, mild malts, and grapefruit with a dry and bitter finish.

Bottle sampled at Alan’s HSC initiation, thanks Dogbrick: Aroma on this one is floral, tad of citrus rind. Resiny hop, some citrus, medium-bodied mouthfeel. Not too bad, but not all that memorable.

Clear amberish pour with a medium foamy head. Citrus and hops aroma and flavor. Medium palate. A good, but fairly standard IPA.

Nice thick white head on a light golden brew, with decent lacing. Aroma is clean and citrusy, perhaps grapefruit. Flavor is light and hoppy, not much body. A good session beer, served nice and cold after a hot excursion in the sun. I guess I’ve been spoiled by all of these powerful California IPA’s. This is more like a regular pale ale and doesn’t pack much punch.
