Commercial Description:
Alaskan IPA is honey gold in color with a fruity, citrus aroma. An enticing blend of hops and our dry hopping process, in which hops are added directly to tanks during fermentation, give this brew a very intense, complex aromatic character with a refreshing hop finish.

This beer poured an orange color. A faint lemon and pine aroma. The flavor is only somewhat bitter with some lemons and grapefuit showing. This one seemed rather one dimensional and not very complex. Overall a sub par IPA.

This yellow beer poured with a massive off-white head and a yeasty aroma. There is a caramel malt flavor with some light hop bitterness. This seems like a pretty good session beer, but nothing special.

This poured a clear bronze body with a tall off-white head that did some heavy lacing. It’s got an aroma of orange petals and grapefruit with a small whiff of pine over a light malty sweetness. The flavor is balanced more like an APA, pale malt equaled by the hoppy bitterness. The finish recues the drink by having a prolonged, if mild, pine and grapefruit bitterness. A lawnmower IPA.

Pretty mild stuff here. Light caramel malt sweetness with tinges of very minimal hop bite. Basically left me wanting more of everything...except this beer.

Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a light malty aroma with some citrus hoppy hints. Sweet malty hoppy flavor with citrus hints. Has a malty hoppy finish with a long hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle from Dirty_Martini. Hazy pale body with a small white head. Sweet hoppy nose with citrus, dough and honey. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with orange peal, tangerine, flowers and cotton candy. Medium body is a bit thin with moderate carbonation. More of an APA than IPA.

Bomber from AA Liquors. Pretty standard fare, but more likable than some of their offerings. Doesn’t seem like a 6.2% IPA, seems more like a standard APA. Good nonetheless and a solid standby for the price.

Crisp, but ultimately flavorless. The aroma is that of a pine forest - giving you high expectations. The first taste, however, is a grapefruit note. After that it fades quickly. This IPA poured a clear gold to light amber in a half-yard. The head was white and frothy.
