Taste is very smooth with not a lot of complexity to it, but would make a very good starter IPA to someone not acclimated to the style. jamespgentry (20), Washington, USA

Nothing fancy going on here: just some mild hoppiness, crisp nose and mouthfeel, and easy drinking. One of my favorite session beers. fiulijn (7470), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 22oz bottle. Tinny, plasticy, strong catty urine, citruc acid, dried leaves and amonia in the nose. Flavor is strongly catty celery flavored hops, dried leaves, amonia, lemon juice, and dried lawn clippings. Can’t say I’m really digging this one, and after a full glass I’m pretty much sick of it. I think Alaskan whiffed on this one... but maybe the kind of hops they use really aren’t meant to be used in IPA, perhaps a bitter would be more suitable. Zoob (84), Bakersfield, California, USA

I have had this beer at the brewery and at the Hanger in Juneau. It showed slight differences in the two kegs. The beer is made well and tasty. It is a very low hopped IPA with some citrus up front and spicyness in the finish. I would have it again and again. If you want a BIG IPA this is not it, but this may gain some transition drinkers to bigger beers. It will be interesting to taste in bottle and watch quality control. bu11zeye (5672), Frisco, Texas, USA
