Mar 26, 2006 Pale orange, white head. No hop aroma. Malt sweet flavors dominate hopness. It tastes like an amber to me. Needs more hop and more bitterness in the finnish.

Mar 22, 2006 Pale yellow with smallish white head. Soft, fruity, citrusy, and sweet aromas. Refreshing, and fruity drink. Medium bodied, and easy drinking. Not to be sought out, but certainly not to be turned away.

Mar 16, 2006 Pours like a normal yellow beer. Taste is rather malty, refreshing, pretty enjoyable. Something I could drink a pretty large amount of, yet something that is not readily in this area, so I probably will never get that chance. Good beer though.

Feb 24, 2006 Had this on tap at Skagway Pizza NO LIE In a 32 oz pitcher/glass they serve a 64 ounce glass, formed 1/2" beige head over the orangey-amber brew. Head is resilient, and laces well. Aroma is malty, with floral hops notes, and even some alcohol apparent, which seems out of place for the style. Some fruit notes or something. Taste is more bitter than I expected, with less of the maltiness that I thought was coming. Does make for a good APA, however, with some interesting flavors. Mouthfeel and drinkability are good for the style, could be a session prospect but had to get back to boat

Feb 16, 2006 Alaskan beers generally taste either watery or "very pure" to me depending on my mood. This one can almost taste like 7up. If you’re in the mood for it, it’s great and refreshing. If you’re in the mood for something more flavorful, it’s a little too light.

Jan 31, 2006 Pours a golden amber color that is very clear and a little lighter then what I consider a normal Pale Ale. Also decent head with great lacing. The smell is of stronger malt with a breadiness to it. Some hops are present and are more noticeably towards the American style. The taste is good with a clean mix of malt and hops. Nothing overwhelming for the malt taste, mostly base or pale. The hops are blended nicely with good amount of bite from the more earthy hop tones. The after taste confirms the strong bite of bittering hops and limied flavoring hops with a mellow grapefruit taste. Overall a good beer but could improve. Light on the body and carbonation.
