| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 21, 2009 12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with paiste2002. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Light aroma of bready malt with a few notes of orange and grapefruit hops. The flavor is more defined than the aroma with again bready malt followed by a nice crisp, somewhat dry finish. There is a bit of grapefruit hoppiness present as well. In addition, there is a light bread flavor that lingers for several seconds beyond the swallow. Solid beer. bozoNZ (502), Christchurch, New Zealand
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Very light aroma - tinned pears at first whiff. Murky yellow with a good head. Not sure what all the fuss is here or maybe it didnt travel well. Nice malt structure, sweet and juicy. Really lacking any hop notes - either flavor or aroma. All and all a bit meh. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 29, 2009 Bottle. Pours a uniform and slightly lively yellow with a nice head of white and lacing that leaves a nice pattern at which to stare. Aroma is clean and bready hops with a hint of grapefruit and bready white wine. Flavor is a hoppy pilsner with hints of grassy honey and a slight herbal presence. Very clean and full mouthfeel. This is a great pale; clean and very zingy taste. Obviously well-made. msante79 (838), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2009 12oz bottle from Bubbles Liquor World. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma is pale malt, light hops and grain. Flavor is pale malt, grains, light yeast, and light fruits. Nice carbonation and pretty good mouthfeel for style. Not to bad for a blond ale. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2009 Bottle. Pours just a hint of a shade darker than average macro shit-yellow. Fluffy white head, passable lacing. Nose is malty, mildly perfumey, hoppy, mild. Palate tastes of ginger cake, very bread-like, with hop spiciness building towards the finish. Finish is dry relative to the palate. A nice, though in no way exceptional, pale. dkoonce (888), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2009 On tap at the brewery. An excellent pale ale, bordering on the IPA for hops. Still, light bodied and clean in the finish. yemenmocha (417), Glendale, Arizona, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 15, 2009 Bright golden hue with a slight haze. Almost a pale lager appearance for this golden ale.
Medium head foams up well but retention is a little limited. Aroma of dry straw on a farm, citrusy fruity notes, and toasted sugar.
Sugary sweet taste with hops. Hard to discern a malty taste at all. THat dry, sugar sticky sweet and pine needly hops dominate.
Finish is inoffenisve and somewhat iniviting. This ale is fairly drinkable and very compatible with numerous foods. Worth a try, but not a regular beer.
