| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Sep 1, 2004 Golden color with a small dense off white head. Sweet orange aromas and floral hops aromas. Light sweet start, with a drier middle that has some hopsack and honey qualities. Light palate with a gentle effervescence. Mild finish and linger, with hints of vanilla and light spice. An interesting pale. Thanks Falconseye8. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 18, 2004 Grainy nose, flavor is rotten vegetables, salty bread and crackers, and soil. Could this be a bad sample? Tastes similar to Alaskan Amber and even the ESB... I just don’t have a taste for these... perhaps they yeast that ABC uses? JohnC (2286), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 11, 2004 This is a nice, simple, easy drinking beer. Nothing too fancy here, but I’d use it as a lawn mower beer ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2004 Pours with a small diminishing head, soft carbonation; average to heavy caramel, toasted malt aroma; citrusy/lemon and pine hop aroma; a little thin on the palate. Generally good. blatz (138), Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 29, 2004 Nice golden orange hue. Wonderful spicy hops in the nose. Big white head that traced the glass down to the last sip. Very clear. Also, very weak in taste. Had a sticky sweet flavor with little hops to back it up. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2004 Updated: Jun 29, 2004Cloudy golden color with a small but lasting white head. The aroma is terriffic: citrusy and pineapple. Flavor is very hoppy. Bitterness is in style and not overpowering as you would expect with all of the hops in the flavor and nose. Enough malty sweetness to carry hoppiness. Reminds me of Dreadnaught’s little brother, must try this again to make sure I’m not delusional.
Second rating. Consistent with the first rating but a little sulfuric? taste. Aroma is still good. 4.4 down to a 4.2, maybe I'm a little critical since I've initially rated so high. presario (3001), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 8, 2004 Strong mellon aroma. Big head. Orange colour with a few floaties. Overall rather weak. Light fruit flavour with some off tasting bitterness. Tastes like a weak fruit beer or a light Belgian. Did not work for me. MrRomero (1934), Nolanville, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 26, 2004 Pours yellow with a medium white head. Sweet, cotton candy sugar aroma. As Eric said, more malty than anticipated. It does finish quite dry. Lightly hopped and lightly citrusy. More malt than hops. Worth a try.
