Slightly grassy hops in the aroma with a doughy, biscuity smell as well. Taste is the same as the smell, with the bread malts a bit stronger. Medium body, pleasantly carbonated, somewhat creamy mouthfeel and a slight bitterness in the finish. DJMonarch (6845), Northwich, Cheshire, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Bottle purchased at Liquor Mart in Boulder. Pours a nearly clear gold with two fingers of frothy white head that takes its time in diminishing and leaves behind patchy lace. The nose is a soft blend of floral, light citrus and grassy hop notes over a faint malt backing. This is a golden ale? It’s not knocking me out, but it’s certainly bringing a whole lot more to the table than most of the beers I’ve tried in this style. On the medium side of light-bodied, the palate is softly effervescent with a crisp finish that highlights some nice hop notes but just enough bitterness to clip things off. The results: it makes you want to take another drink. The flavor is floral and lightly citric (think orange blossoms) with a light, clean malt backing and a pleasantly perfumy finish. This is a really solid session beer. If I could get this in KC, it would find space in my fridge regularly as an anytime drinker, especially during the summer months. This beer has definitely changed my opinion of what a golden/blond ale can be. rmussman (905), California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Nice crystal clear light amber brew with ample effervecance that did not produce much head at all. Has a white crown that goes to a ring and some thin lacing. The aroma was very fresh with lots of mild grapefruit and candy hops and nice malts. Yum yumyumyummmy flavour. Excellent taste! Very tasty tangy hops slightly dusty with some odd dryness. The mouthfeel was very good: super smooth and soft, medium bodied, light bitter middle (very little bitterness - well done), a soft dry malty finish with a light dry aftertaste Hopeye (39), Oregon, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2009 This beer always manages to surprise me. I’ll pick up a double-deuce at the grocery store because it’s the cheapest IPA on the shelf (and I need the bottle), and I never have to force it down. It’s not an overwhelming, kick-in-the-pants kind of IPA--it’s just a solid, reliable (and yes, cheap) IPA. Cirrhosis (619), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2009 This brew looks a slightly cloudy orangey brown with a thin veil of a cap, boring looking beer, sort of cheap looking to. The aroma is filled with medium powered hops, the perfumey style of hops that makes your beer smell like a bouquet flowers you give your wife after forgetting your 41-month anniversary. Mild grape fruity hops, and some very mild bready malts make up the bulk of flavor, a hidden bitterness seems to be trying to come through but doesn’t seem to be able to make it out. Enjoyable beer but kind of boring and easily forgettable, but in the beers defense I might have let it hang out in the fridge way to long.
