Aroma is light malt, honey, hay, herbal hops. OK, below the PALE in small black print: golden. Aroma fits now. Taste is light malt, honey, hay, herbal/floral hops. Aggressive effervescence. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 11, 2009 Color is a bright gold with just a touch of a haze to it. Carbonation is good making a thin white head. Aroma is a light grain scent. Taste is crisp and clean. Starting with a light body it goes down with a crisp feel. Finish is light with the taste of corn and grain then a very mild bitterness. After taste is clean with a faint citrus taste. Its ok for a Golden Ale but they call it a Pale and that made me think it would have a little more hop character to it. arrogantb (714), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2009 Very nice clear golden color just as advertised. Hoppy, bubblegum smell followed by a crisp hoppiness. Very easy to drink as this is by no means a hop bomb and has a nice malty follow-up, its just nice to see a decently hopped pale ale instead of IPA’s always stealing the spotlight.
edit--
after reading other reviews I don’t understand if I got a very fresh sixer or my palate is warped from drinking different styles in one session, it tastes hoppy to me ?!?

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 7, 2009 Bottle thanks to jake65. Pours a dark clear yellow with a thin quick finger of white foam. Standard blonde ale aroma, lightly fruity, sweet malts. Taste is a bigger pear or apple fruit note over sweet pale malts, light grassy hoppiness and a crisp finish. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 20, 2009 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a one finger white head. The aroma was mostly floral, with a sweet malt note. The flavor was caramel malt with an earthy finish. This would make for a good session beer. Smooth drinking, not too bitter and nothing offensive at all. rcasta (489), El Salvador

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Pours light clear amber with a one finger rapidly fading white head. Some scattered lacing. Aroma is very minor caramel and floral hops. Taste is sweet caramel malts with a balanced amount of earthy and citrus hops. Very clean and smooth on the palate. The sessionabilty is outstanding though and I think you could cruise through a sixer in one evening. Well recommended when lighter is desirable. Would also be a great beer for newbies to try craft beer. lakersfan16 (53), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
