Oct 23, 2008 2006 22oz. bottle, pours a dark brown with a creamy dark tan head, minor lacing. Aroma is a nice woodsy campfire smoke with peat and light chocolate. Flavor is more peat, smoky malt and light chocolate. Very smooth, creamy and enjoyable on a cool evening.

Oct 21, 2008 WOW!! thanks to jjpm74. this poured black with a thin brown head. aroma of liquid smoke, malt, and some chocolate. flavor was a great smokey flavor, chocolate. had a medium body and medium carbonation. this is a great smoked beer.

Oct 20, 2008 Draught. High brown creamy and lasting head. Pitch black body. Coffee smoke aroma and flavor with a good deal of hops bitterness, high carbonatkion and a long bitter aftertaste.

Oct 20, 2008 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep black color with a medium tan head. Smoked aroma, with some burnt malt and caramel. Some dark chocolate in the background. Nice, balanced taste. Roasted coffee, chocolate, and nice aged malt. A really good Porter.

Oct 19, 2008 Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours a deep black with copper hues, tan head. Aroma of beef jerky, nice. Flavor of obvious smoke, dark roast, with faint sweetness, light bitter. Mouth feel is medium body, medium body. Overall, pretty tasty.

Oct 16, 2008 2008 Bottle - Pours a dk dk brown with a quickly dissipating tan head...aroma is lightly smoked, roasted grain and a bit of subtle oak...smoke isn’t over the top, nothing is really...the flavour is that of a pretty average porter, good tasting but average...starts off bitter, toasted grain, coffee, smokey oats, finishes with a lingering taste and mouthfeel, and slightly watery...I assume that this is a brew that demands age in the bottle, we’ll see...

Oct 16, 2008 Bottle. Pours a deep rich brown. Smells and tastes like a campfire. Tastes mainly of smoke, but some malt and chocolate come through. Not bad but the smoke is a bit strong.
