Bottle from Booze Bros. in Reno, NV. Poured a used motor oil black with a medium sized tan head. Smells of chocolate and toffee. Strong flavor choclate and roasted malts. Mild bitter finish. Very sweet and easy on the palate. Will buy again.

Bottled. Poured damn near black with a short cap of tan head. The aroma picked up a very nice blend of sweeter chocolates, oats, faint coffee, and lactic sweetness. The flavor was very sweet as well with milk chocolate and caramel at the core.. light coffee and earthy bitterness surrounding.. bit of a lactic bite on the short-ish finish. Medium-bodied and sweet on the palate with just too much carbonation interrupting the flow. Very easy drinking and tasty.. would make a good every day stout.

On Tap. Nice colour, dark. small head. good roasted taste, not overly strong, bitter finish. medium body, not as thick as some, but about average.

Poured dark reddish brown with aroma of butterscotch, vanilla, and coffe.First taste was sweet and creamy and too much carbonation.Bitter chocolate quickly came to the front.Oatmeal flavour was disapointingly absent. Finish was heavy roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Oveall, a drinkable brew, but somewhat lacking in lingering complexity.

12oz Bottle pours out a almost black topped with a very small tan head. Aroma of chocolate and a light roast. Tast more of the light sweetness and some of the roast. A little bitter on the end but not much. A pretty good brew.

On tap was pretty mild, though seeing alc% now, makes sense. The flavor and aroma were far too subtle and simply didn’t please the senses. The palate was way too thin and wet. Overall, not bad, but is competing in a pretty competitive style.

A vigorous pour leaves only a finger of mocha head atop this nearly black beer. Feeble retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet chocolate with a roasted coffee note to balance it out. Flavor is pretty average, with the same chocolate and coffee as the nose. Finish is dry and roasty. The oats make for some smoothness on the palate, but overcarbonation makes this beer hard to drink or enjoy, unless you’re really into burping.

Sticky and chewy. pretty dark brownish color with short off whitehead. Some noticeable hops on the aroma went along with the roasted malts and chocolate notes.
