| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2007 12oz bottle from LarryPitonka. Aroma: roasted malt and oatmeal with notes of chocolate and cream. Some light dark fruits and toasted nuts, too. Appearance: Black in color with no highlights. Dark beige head was full and frothy with good retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Good roasted malt with a noticeable oat characteristic. Coffee, chocolate, light smoke, cream, and dark fruits. Finishes a little sweet with some light roast carrying over. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Overall: Very smooth and drinkable stout. A little more depth and some body would make this even better. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 25, 2007 12 oz bottle VIA Saarlander (thanks man!). Pours black with a large head. Nose is oaty..is that a word? ANyway that is what i smell. I quite enjoy the taste of this. It is flavorful, yet all the flavors are subtle. There is a bit of roastiness, the oats take center stage, and are complemented by some chocolate malts, and some floral hops. Carbonation is light to medium, as is the body. This is a very nice, easy drinking, sessionable stout. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 5, 2007 Bottle thanks to Degarth. Dark pour with thin head. Aroma is of roasted malt, sweet milk chocolate, molasses, tobacco. Flavor is sweet with a thick syrupy like taste. I served it too cold, this one needs to warm up. As it did it was very smooth and drinkable. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2007 Black color with almost no head. Looks damn near still. Roasted malts in the aroma remind me of coffee. Slightly chocolatey coffee tasting stout is solid but unremarkable. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2007 Thanks to Saarlander for this one via Mystery Swap 2.0. Pours onyx with a 1-finger tan head. Aroma of roasted dark patent malt, dark fruit, cacao, slight nuts, molasses. Tastes roasty, malty, with some blackberry, raisin, nut, molasses, dark chocolate, and finishing hops. Stays roasty, and seems to get a tad drier as it warms, with more plum and blackberry notes then. barleyPops (1079), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
