Aroma of roasted dark patent malt, dark fruit, cacao, slight nuts, molasses. Tastes roasty, malty, with some blackberry, raisin, nut, molasses, dark chocolate, and finishing hops. Stays roasty, and seems to get a tad drier as it warms, with more plum and blackberry notes then. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA

Smells of roast malt with chocolate or coffee. Tastes somewhat roasted with definate chocolate flavors. Perfect bitterness. Feels pretty thick on the palate, but not chewy. More of a nice creamy coating. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2007 Bottle: Very dark brown pour with large, frothy tan head and some moderate lacing. Literally looks like a perfect sweet stout. Nose is malt, light coffee, and roastiness. Taste is a very well balanced medley of cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, and molasses. No outstanding flavors, but a basic stout blend that is extremely well done. beertime (23), Minnesota, USA

Aromas of light roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. Flavor is roasted malts, slight chocolate, and some nuts. Palate is light bodied for a stout and pretty airy... A slight disappointment for me but still I’m glad I got to try it!
