Drank this on the same day as Rogue Shakespeare and what a difference. I found this to be a bit mellow although the body was full with a nice bitter chocolate taste. Slight hoppiness and clean finish.

medium bodied, roasty, but could use a bit more smoothness, but all in all a decent oatmeal stout.

Pretty average, run of the mill micro. Big let down in comparison to Porter. Black pour with small tan head. Coffee and dark chocolate notes in the body. Fizzy and acidic - lacks the smooth, velvet of Sam Smith’s stout. I won’t miss this one...

Pours pitch black, with fuzzy tan head. Mild chocolate, carmel, toffee, and fruity aroma. Sour, dark roasted malt flavor. Has some metalic taste. Thin, medium bodied. Gets a little more full flavored as it warms. The metal taste also seems to disappears. This is a let down compared to other Alaskan beers. Just average.

Bottle. No big deal. expected a bit more from a legendary brewer. Didn’t get much though. thin and light. Manages to do OK in the taste department. Lightly roast, simple caramel and chocolate, lightly sweet, light.

Black in color with a tan head. Sweet smelling with hints of coffee and chocolate. Tastes similar to the smells with a light bitter finish. There’s something about the body that threw me off a little (fizzy and oily).

Golden tan head and opaque black body with a brown tone. Milk chocolate nose. Flavor of rum raisins, berries, medium sweet chocolate, and mild bitter coffee. Odd fruity sourness in the finish. This is a raisiny stout that could work as a dessert beer, but lacks character otherwise.
