Dark dark brown, with a small head consistent with the style, slightly roasted aroma, starts bitter, then the roasted flavor and aroma pick up with hints of chocolate, low bitterness at the end.

I am a dark beer fanatic, and this is simply the best stout that I have ever consumed in the United States.

Mild chocoltae aroma, full silky smooth middlewith a slight roasted flavour to finish. This is really good!! Sweet, but the chocolate/sweet malt flavours are not overpowering. It reminds me of a cross between McAuslan Stout and a Sam Smith Oatmeal. Great flavour and balance. Alaskan has to be one of the most underated breweries in the world.

12 oz bottle. This beer pours to an ink black color, with a thick, dense, creamy tan head, and a soft carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent, with lots of good aromas of bitter sweet chocolate, coffee, dark malts, and light roast. The palate is soft and full, with a really great silky and creamy mouth feel. Flavors of dark malt, dark chocolate, coffee, and light roasty flavor, glide over the tongue. This beer finishes with more of those wonderful dark chocolate and coffee flavors up front, then ends with some nice, herbal hop bitterness, and roasty flavor that lingers. Well done sweet/oatmeal stout, with good chocolate and coffee flavors. The oats in this beer gives this beer really good body and a creamy mouthfeel. Alaskan Brewing scores again.

I like this stout. It is thick and chewey and tasty and really smooth. The head's a little weak, but the overall appearance is nice. Good aroma, with some nice chocolatey-coffee taste to it.

Real good. The best from Alaskan that I’ve had. Dark coloring. NO head at all. Smooth flavor. Odor and taste have a sweetnes to them.

On Tap at O’brien’s...This beer pours with a black body topped by a medium thick, brown head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma and flavor are sweet and malty with noce mocha notes, notes of cream and a slight bitterness. A little thin for a stout with a nice smoothness.
