Aromas of burnt caramel, with a banana ester that doesn’t quite seem to fit. a nice flavour profile of chocolate and roasted malt, with a creamy mouthfeel. Aroma is roast and light black malt dominated by creamy sweetness. Appearance is black with a well maintained cream colored head. Flavor is sweet, creamy malt forward with lots of roast and a sourness in the finish that does not seem to come from the black malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied, with strong grainy texture and medium carb feel. Overall, quite good, and just seems a little light on some of the classic oatmeal creaminess and slickness.
