Nate (2286), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 26, 2003 Rich chocolate, molasses, burnt malts, licorice, vanilla, coffee. Dark black clear with no head. Medium-heavy watery body & medium carb. Taste is pretty mellow. A little sweet up front, some burn. Finish is actually a little smoky & sour, with a smoky chocolate bitter after. A decent stout.

The aroma is a bit subdued but nice - sweet grainy chocolate malts and some coffee.

The flavor is sweet lactic and nutty chocolate malts with some coffee notes. It has a roasted dry finish that balances the sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery and chalky.
