Gromit (450), Port Orchard, Washington, USA Jan 26, 2005 Pours a pitch black color with some head and little lace.
Aroma is sweet, almost like molases, coffee, and caramel
Taste is sweet coffee and dark fruits. Palate is creamy typical of Oatmeal Stouts. Overall, it’s pretty good but nothing overly special. Oh, I should add that the bottle has changed from the picture here.
natejgood (143), Denver, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2008 Pours very dark with a thick, coffee colored head. The aroma is sweet and roasty, but not overpoweringly strong. The flavor is where this beer really shines. It has a hint of sweetness, but is mostly roasted malts with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. The beer is a bit creamy in the mouth and is very easy to drink. Rciesla (1136), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a black thin body with a 1 finger tan head. Sweet chocolate, oats, lightly roasty. Thin body vanilla accents. Simple and decent. aplusbreaks (129), , Colorado, USA Oct 25, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours black with an initially 1/2 inch foamy tan head wich dssapeared quickly. Aromas of sweet oats, and roasted malts. Nutty and roasty flavors, vanilla and coffee as well. Overall pretty okay, but much better for the price available. Beaver (500), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA Oct 24, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown / black with a thin brown head that quickly diminishes to a thin collar.

The aroma is a bit subdued but nice - sweet grainy chocolate malts and some coffee.

The flavor is sweet lactic and nutty chocolate malts with some coffee notes. It has a roasted dry finish that balances the sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery and chalky.

Overall, a nice easy drinking stout.
couchand (164), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Oct 24, 2008 Rich mahogany brown, opal. Some creamy off-white head.
