Pitch-black and completely opaque with a light tan-coloured fairly thin head. Thin coffee/espresso aroma and fairly thin bodied as well. Coffee and cola flavour along with fainter flavours of molasses. Fizzy carbonation which I don’t like in a stout. Not bad, but I was somewhat disappointed. Alcohol flavour sneaks in at the end.

Sep 23, 2008 12oz bottle. Black color with minimal head. Delicate sweet chocolate aroma. Creamy and rich flavors, not strictly relying on chocolate malt overkill, lots of caramel and a little coffee. Smooth with mellow carbonation. A little sweet in the finish, not much hop balance. Excellent Sweet Stout.

Sep 16, 2008 12oz bottle. black pour with smallish tan head. aroma of cocoa and roasted malt. sweet brown sugar taste. with smoke and a cereal vibe to it. oily texture. ok.

Sep 13, 2008 Pretty smokey with very little head. Nice roasted malt and a bit of charcoal. Don’t know why it’s called an "oatmeal" stout but a generally nice beer.

Sep 2, 2008 Hardly any head even with a healthy pour and it disappeared immediately. Low appearance score. Bad mouthfeel. Sweet and dry at the same time in a bad way. I hate to say this but for me, it leaves a aftertaste of ashtray. I’ll pass on this one.

Aug 17, 2008 Deep dark brown pour. Aromas of burnt caramel, with a banana ester that doesn’t quite seem to fit. a nice flavour profile of chocolate and roasted malt, with a creamy mouthfeel. Decent enough.
