| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Pours a medium gold with just a little lacing forming. Looks and smells very lager-like, disappointingly. I mean very weak, barely-beerlike aroma. Flavor is slightly more robust, though not by much. I barely get any malt or hop flavors. Just the slightest hint of generic fruit. Palate is sprtizy, though watery. You know what? This shit is bunk. This would make a pretty decent lager. Calling it "ale" is simply false advertising. I’m very surprised and disappointed. I mean, I’m not trying to be an asshole or anything, but I just lost a lot of respect for Alaskan, considering what they’re capable of in the barleywine arena. Overall, just fair. Guinnessman (94), VACAVILLE, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 22, 2009 ours a luminous golden color, transparent, with reasonable white head. Nose is citrusy and metallic. Some metallic components on the palate too, with a nice herbal presence and crisp, light & refreshing malt. Faint sour element that disappears near the finish. Very refreshing and something I would love with good American pub fare.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Appearance: Pours a bright yellow gold with a small collection of white foam at the top.
Aroma: Grainy malt at first, then some sweetness and orange zest, and earthiness.
Taste: Dry ,bready malt in the beginning. Ends with crisp bitter hops. There are hints of citrus in the taste as well as the nose.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, and not overdone with carbonation.
Overall: A classy, well made summer session beer. superdude1979 (61), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 21, 2009 smooth beer, easy on the palate, could drink this all day. The beer actually fits the description, which is a testamate to Alaskan Brewery, nothing too strong here, so I could see how many Ale enthusiasts give it a lower grade. Bought a 6-pack on sale.
