Commercial Description:
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

light haze, corn yellow colored body, soft white head. nose is spicy and fruity coriander and madarin oranges, light grassy hop note. medium to light body, fizzy and thin (slightly syrupy) texture. heavily spiced for such a light body, it’s a bit overdone. decently crisp finish, moderatley dry, lightly acidic. overall a run of the mill witbier, not terrible, not exceptional, just a little too floral and soapy.

First of all, I’m not a big fan of witbiers. That said, here’s my review of Alaskan’s White Ale. Very colorfully yellow for a wit, clear, with an aroma of yeast and light spice. Citrus, orange flavor with more yeast and coriander, but with a light mouthfeel. Still, nothing to change my preference toward wits.

Bottle as part of a mixed 6. Nose is light weat, then a ton of orange peel. Flavor is the citric orange peel and spiciness - some yeasty wheat in the background, but the orange completely dominates.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with paiste2002. Pours a very hazy gold with a moderate white head that almost made it to mid-glass and left spotty and patchy lace. Mild aroma of wheat grain, orange and spice. The flavor is again wheat grain, orange and coriander that is more discernible in the flavor than it is in the aroma. Refreshing and easy to drink.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy light amber color with one finger foamy white head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of honey, spice, wheat, grass, light floral esters. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of honey, spice, grass, light floral esters, hints of caramel. Generally medium body with a pleasing wheat finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and light wheat aroma. Wheat and malt flavor with light citrus and light spice. Medium bodied. Wheat lingers with some earthiness, spice, and light citrus.
