Commercial Description:
Formerly known As Alaskan Belgian Wit

Brewed with coriander, bitter orange peel and malted wheat, Alaskan White Ale has a light and crisp body pleasant tartness followed by slightly spicy aftertaste. The malted wheat gives the beer a more full and lightly malty mouthfeel. There is an aroma and flavor of wheat and coriander, with a dry and refreshingly carbonated finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a whitish head. Spice and light wheat aroma. Wheat and malt flavor with light citrus and light spice. Medium bodied. Wheat lingers with some earthiness, spice, and light citrus.

Bottle from Valley Farm Market. Light amberish in color. Aroma is fairly grainy with a little spiciness. Smells like a regular wheat beer. Crisp clean flavors. Good graininess with a little spice. Not overly spiced like some wits. Pretty refreshing and easy drinking.

Draught at Brouwer’s Café:   Pale golden, slight haze, light carbonation, sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Wheat malt nose, very subtle spicing.   Very much like an American Wheat on the tongue.   Spiciness is very soft to non-existant.   This is moreso an American Wheat than a Belgian Witbier. Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Clean, but way too American like.   Needs to be much more spicy to be considered a Belgian.   A little cereal like on the finish.   Tiz okay, but very average and very American.

Just nothing here to write home about. Straw colored pour with a fizzy white head that disappears instantly. Aroma is lemon peel. Flavor is citrusy but without the depth and spice of good witbiers.

( 22oz bottle thanks to travita) Pours very clear yellow with no head but good lacing. Nose of alcohol, cloves, and spices. Taste is wheat, spicy, a little syrupy with a dry finish.

Light hazy, yellow pour, thin white head. Nose is faintly spicy and fruity. Coriander. Hop notes are light but they are there if you try. A touch overcarbonated which leads to a thin mouthfeel. Spices are much more distinct upon sipping than in the nose, almost a bit too much for such a thin beer. Dry finish that prickles with carbonation. Can’t shake this soapy flavor though, it bothered me from the start of the beer to the finish, something strange there.

Decent, but uninspiring witbier. Dull gold pour, slightly cloudy, thin head. Some aroma and depth, but mostly malt and a touch of spice.
