It is an American style with much bigger flavor impact and hops presence. Color dark amber to Ruby , clear, nice lacing, low but OK carbonation so you do get some favorable acidic effect, Plenty of Hops and licorice. Tmoney99 (4728), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted and produced excellent lacing. Medium to heavy roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
Very good drinkable brew. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

The flavor is roast malt with a little chocolate. It’s medium bodied and nicely balanced with a finish that brings some bitterness.
