Smooth clocolate taste with subtle nuts, malt and caramel. It did have a gritty finish. Way too light at 4.4% Dogbrick (2907), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Thin, sticky lacing. The aroma is very nutty with a touch of brown sugar. Very smooth body with a tasty roasted coffee, nut and malt blend. The only downside is the flavor is not very lasting. The finish is nutty and has a lightly bitter aspect to it. This is a pretty good Brown. bu11zeye (5675), Frisco, Texas, USA

This brew had excellent lacing and the body was brown in hue. It had a mild coffee aroma and a smooth flavor from start to finish. At the same time, this brew was thin and watery in my opinion. I much prefer their Porter to this particular brew. Jfishback13 (271), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

It had more fizz to it than my ex-fiance’s rootbeer did. It did have a decent amount of dark malty flavor to it, but then the hops kicked in and something wasn’t quite right. The two ingredients weren’t frineds or enemies, but both just kind of did their own thing. The most disappointing part of the whole thing though was that there was no aftertaste at all. I love knowing that I just had a sip of a good beer. Ten seconds after sipping this I could no longer taste it, nor remember the flavor. Nothing offensive really, but not too good. hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA

What is really disturbing though, is the waitstaff’s habit of comparing their beers to massbrew - when my wife asked them how this was they responsded - ’it’s like Honey Brown with attitude,’ just like their red is like Killians, etc. Anyway, the thing has some murky, sweetish malts shot through with rather uncomplentary hops.
