Mar 16, 2008 Draft at Alcatraz, Indianapolis, IN. Small tan head that mostly diminished, very little lacing, semi-opaque, no visible carbonation, and a black hue with a red tint. Nose was chocolate, roasty and sweet. Flavor was lightly hoppy, semi-sweet, roasty, and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel and medium body. Quaffable, well balanced beer and easy to drink. Average for style, but not one that left me wanting it again since this is not one of my go to styles.

Dec 29, 2007 This draft brew from the brewery poured a head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a semi-opaque no visible carbonation dark brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was dark malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow hoppy aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of hops and dark malt. A very good brew that I would buying again.
