Alcatraz Ginseng Pale Ale

From a sampler: Kudos to a brewpub located in a mall for trying something different. This beer is an orange-amber color with a thin and foamy white head. Some lacing is evident. The aroma is lightly hoppy. Medium body, and it really does taste like ginseng! There is also an interesting peppery hops character to it. The finish is nicely bitter. Overall I was a little suspicious of this beer but they pull it off pretty well.
