Alcatraz Honey Oatmeal Stout

Honey is apparent as well as a slight bitter roasted coffee finish with lingering sweetness. Hints of something smokey/burnt caramel.

on tap-pours a light brown head and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt/oat-chocolate/coffee/molasses, roasty. Taste is sweet rich dark malt/oat-chocolate/coffee/molasses, roasty, slight hops bite. Nice.

Draft sample at brewpub. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted sweet malt and coffee aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Smooth brew, my expectations where met.
