Commercial Description:
A classic American Pale Ale at its best. Light copper in color. Medium bodied with malt flavor finish with a dominant citrus hop flavor. Light, copper-colored, American-style pale ale with refreshing hop character and spicy aroma.

Not a bad APA. A little weak, but, this beer has to appeal to the masses. Light amber in color, with a fairly good hop aroma as well. Taste is nothing extraordinary, but still better than some APAs and IPAs that I’ve had. Very drinkable and easy on the palate. Perfectly good session APA.

Tap @ Orange location. Crisp with a good hop taste, very pronounced lemon taste almost like the smell of Pledge. sugary almost too sweet. A good pale ale would buy again

Tap @ the brewpub. Poured a clear copper color with an off-white head. Caramel and earthy aroma. The flavor is citrus over caramel. Light to medium body.

Why is Alcatraz brewing company in Indiana??? Pours gold with thin head. Aroma is hops and some malt. Flavor is a very grainy, gritty, dirty hoppiness. Not very attractive. Thin body. Poor excuse for a pale ale.

Hazy pale orange body with a thin white head. The aroma is of grapefruit and orange peel. The taste is dominated by citrusy American hops with little malt backbone to back it up. Resiny. More like an American IPA to me.

Golden with brown-orange twinge. Filmy head. Medium sweet west coast hop and caramel aroma. Tangy, not too sweet, a bit boozy. Medium body, alcohol bitter finish over grapefruit. Some silkiness in the mouthfee. A par brewpub APA, nothing special.

From the tap this poured a yellow/gold body with a well-sized frothy head that did some artistic lacing. The aroma is light and toasty, sweet with a balance of grapefruit and lemon zest. The flavor is a balanced as the nose with the PNW hop bitterness emerging more in the finish. Sessionable stuff.
