Flavor was a bit dry; yeasty and a bit earthy. Quite bready and bland for me. JohnC (2288), Mission Viejo, California, USA

Nice maltiness up front gives was to light hoppiness that makes this brew quaffable. iowaherkeye (1884), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 24, 2009 On tap @ the brewpub. Clear light yellow golden with a half finger white head. Corn grain nose with some faint floral and pasta notes. Flavor is still pretty corny and grainy, with moderate bitterness. Still some pasta, however. Dry finish, bitterness at 3. Moderate prickly carbonation with a light body. OK oils. stefanje (957), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Updated: Oct 25, 2009On tap at the Orange CA Bar/brewpub. A translucent gold pour with a small white head that had fair retention. The aroma was soft grains and some green lightly funky hops. The flavor had a bread and biscuit flavor with little of the green hop character detected in the nose making it into the taste. The palate was silky smooth with overactive prickly carbonation. The finish was short and biter. Overall: This had the character of a moderated SNPA style pale ale, not really true to the pils style. That aside it was quite sessionable and enjoyable, a good choice to watch a baseball game to.
