rickgordon (3073), Göteborg, Sweden Feb 11, 2007 [Bottled. Marsiblursi delivers]
Black colour. Asphalt, blood, almonds and glue was found in aroma. Wow! The mouthfeel is fantastic, this is ultrasmooth like silk. Taste is somewhat cigarette-smokey with a fiery touch. Chocolate is there. Aftertaste is pleasantly smokey and lasts long. Bit bit sour, but that adds to the flavour all in all. 1,5 year old bottle. harrisoni (5331), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 14, 2005 Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. Really nice smell. Oily, dark malts. Slightly sour in mouth but good chocolate and coffee flavours. Finish is really liquoricey. Good bitter dark choc and the liquorice is quite intense. Best of the Alcazar bottled beers I bought in Nottingham that I have had so far. gnoff (2825), Göteborg, Sweden Feb 11, 2007 (Bottle, thanks to Marsiblursi) Sampled at a tasting night at Marsiblursi’s place. Smoke and mezcal scent, also cigarette smoke. Some grainy whisky smell as well. Dark brown to black color, brown head. Taste is of smoked sausage and coffee beans. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Dry aftertaste. maeib (4000), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Nov 14, 2005 Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow.
