Cask@Nottingham Beer Festival, 2008. Dark amber beer with a mildly hopped and toffee aroma. The flavour is toffee, hopped and caramel. Overall an average beer.

Cask at the Fox & Crown, Nottingham. Same picture on the pumpclip, but under the name of ’Brush Bitter’. Amber with an off white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma and taste with some bitterness. A fairly run of the mill strong bitter.

Cask at the Fox & Crown, Basford, Nottingham. Served as Brush Bitter. This copper beer struck me as a very ordinary bitter, but quite an enjoyable one. It’s very well balanced with sweet fruity malt and a dry, possibly slightly spicy finish.

Cask at Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Gentle brown body, fair lacing, lush fruits with a malty backwash. Yummy.

Russett red with a small white head. Aromas are mellow fruity malts with spices. Quite vineous in aroma and flavour with fruity malts, pepper, sweet toffee and berries. Some warming alcohol, too. Not bad.
