HenrikSoegaard (3175), Randers, Denmark Jun 14, 2008 Bottle at Brøggeriet Sønderborg. Frothy white almost no head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Strong whiskey/oak and vanilla notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Strong moderate bitter long finish. Smoked licorice and vanilla notes. Creamy palate. Excellent beer. faroeviking (4418), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Feb 4, 2008 Bottle. Pours a very deep dark brown colour with a big good lasting creamy brown head. Lovely aroma of cocoa and chocolate, good roasted malt, dark fruits and some alcohol. Good thick oily mouthfeel. The flavour is soft and robust with lots of roasted malt and dark chocolate with a nice bitterness, roasted caramel, coffee, alcohol and slight liquorice. Dry roasty chocolate finish lasting quite long. That is a tasty brew indeed. Maybe another year or two could make it even more more robust round and soft a porter. thewolf (3983), Kolding, Denmark Jan 31, 2008 Bottle, bought @ YNWA, Kolding. Pours almost black with great, red edges. Head is small ans rather bubbly - especially as the beer is poured. But it is quite sustainable. Aroma hasbuuter-scotch, caramel, chocolate and a light roastiness. Low carbonation and rather oily mouthfeel. Flavour is surprisingly powerful. Lots of woodiness, vanilla, chocolate and a lightly vinious. Very chewy and a stunning aftertaste. This feels like the 6 % version of BrewDogs 002 Paradox Grain :o) Great! Dedollewaitor (2167), Odense, Denmark Oct 18, 2007 Again heavy stuff from Alcazar: Bottle: Pitch black with a bubbly fast disappearing head. Sweet vinous, roas, liquirice, coffee. Soft mouthfeel - though body is very thin. Sweet , sugary/vinous. Tasty for a 6% porter! Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 4, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy, dark brown with an orange glow and a small, beige head. Some smokiness in the nose. Rather full-bodied with sweetish, roasted malt and a whiff of peaty smoke and some coffee accents. The bitterness is discreet. Pleasant. 030807
