Mild spiced and solid roasted malt flavour with a light bitterness showing through. Pours a pretty redish brown with a creamy beige head on top. Okay lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with some rye, caramel and toffee. Fine mouthfeel, rather dry. Flavour is very nice and drinkable. Dry hops mix nicely with a touch of ash and caramel and some good notes of chocolate. Dark amber in colour with a soft white head; malty caramel aroma; the flavour is very pleasant, not over sweet, with honey and nuts; leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish. Not as heavy as most Brown Ales, a very drinkable style. Maria (4361), Thisted, Denmark Mar 4, 2007 This Brown Ale has a very nice, dark amber color and a good head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, nuts, caramel and a hint of yeast. The flavour has notes of roasted malt. caramel. nuts, toffee, honey, hops and the finish is dry and very slightly bitter. Hint of syrup in the flavour. Rich malty bitter. A pleasant beer.
