Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’09. Gold with white head. Big and beautiful cask ale, probably one of the best beers I have had at any Festival. Sharp hoppy grapefruit and gooseberry notes, mouth drying and bittersweet. Lasting and refreshing throughout, very very good.

Cask Handpump at the Intake Club, Mansfield 12/04/2008 Lots of hop aroma. Golden coloured and a little hazy in appearance. Very hoppy and fruity with some alcohol present. Crisp bitter and slightly dry creamy finish.

Cask at the Fox & Crown, Basford, Nottingham. This golden beer, paler than American IPAs, has a fresh pine aroma and complex flavour with soft fruit, resin, butter and a sharp hop finish. It’s dangerously moreish; I was persuaded to have more than one serving.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2006) Sweet with ’rancid’ later taste. Interesting - heading towards a Sierra Nevada hop profile.

Cask @ Never walk alone, Kolding. Amber/golden color with a small white head. The American hops gives it a nice hoppy aroma. Very well rounded and good balance. Pale ale with fruity malt and a sherberty finish.

(Cask@Gallows Bird, Espoo) Golden color with a surprisingly firm, smallish head. Mild, american-hoppy aroma. Quite nice american-style hopping with lots of fruitiness, some berries and diacetyl. Medium-bodied, low-carbonated, slightly sticky palate. A nicely hopped brew, but quite mild for my taste.

Cask (gravity dispense), White Cliffs Beer Festival, February 2005 Very impressed with this, especially the use of American hops gives it a nice hoppy aroma. Very well rounded and good balance. Pale ale with fruity malt and a sherberty finish. Well worth trying this.

Cask at Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Subtley hopped, sweetness all the way through, juicy fruits balanced out by a sort of freshly split wood tang, enjoyable.
