In short: Typical basic caramelized brewpub ale. Good entry-level but not for the beer geek.
How: Tap at brewpub december 2007
The look: Clear copper body with a medium off-white head
In long: Basic fruity caramel malt profile with almost enough citrusy and pine-tree hops to balance it off. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, short finish, medium body, medium carbonation. Well brewed but characterless. This is your basic entry-level “amber” beer for the customer adventurous to look pass the entry-level blonde ale. The type of adventurous people who don’t always wait for the green light to cross the street.

On tap at the Alchemist. Murky brown in color with a long lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is light resinous citrus/floral hops with caramel and chocolate. Taste is pretty smooth, with chocolate, caramel, and light citrus. Medium bodied. Finishes malty with a light bitterness.

On tap at Alchemist. Nice fruity hoppy aroma, with grapefruit and citrus rind. Some caramel sweetness; hoppy. Medium-dark amber reddish with mild haze. Thin off-white head. Medium-ligh body with medium-mild carbonation. Nice ale. Good malty sweetness with fruity hops kicking in at the finish; like an irish-IPA. Big hoppiness all the way but smoothed out from the maltiness. Nice bitter clean finish and after. Refreshing.
