Sammy (3135), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 10, 2005 Only 7 barrels-I would have done a growler. Peach colour with active little white head, lace in glass. Yeasty aroma. Smooth lambiclike, well balanced, long finish. Creaminess from wheat, fruit tartness from cherries.
luna13084 (4), Burlington, Vermont, USA does not count Feb 17, 2008 As a girl we loves fruit and funk in her beer I can’t help but adore this. I’d write more but I haven’t had this in about four months and I’m going of memory. Glouglouburp (2006), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 2, 2008 In short: A very sweet syrupy cherry beer. Acceptable sipper even if not my style of beer.
How: Tap at brewpub december 2007
The look: Clear red body with a little off-white ring of foam
In long: Cherries and sweetness are the two dominant flavours here. I was extremely surprised to see the ratebeer commercial description mentioning “…fermented with Brettanomyces…”. I really didn’t get any brett notes at all. The beer felt like a sweetened fruit salad with extra extra cherries. Some cheese notes (yeast?). Alcohol apparent. Syrupy body. A sipper. Usually I find very sweet fruity beers as interesting as a romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan. While not quite my type of beer I found this one as interesting as a romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan rated R for nudity and scenes of sexuality.
Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Nov 4, 2007 BBF 07. Pours a slightly hazy light woody brownish amber with a nice fluffy tight head. Aroma is brett, farmhouse funk, lot sof earthy and phenolic tones, and moderate amounts of old cherries- some wood and vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet and syrupy with some slight artificial-like cherry, modest dirty funk, with a decent tartness in the end. Too earthy and dirty for me- too much going on and nothing was very good. Better than the Bachus at least. bu11zeye (3780), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 2, 2007 (Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of black cherry, wood, medinical, and light citric notes. Flavor of oak, black cherries, cough syrup, dirty sock, and light microflora sourness. TURDFERGUSON (1153), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Nov 1, 2007 Pours a hazy orange/red with a sudsy white head. Some cherry notes in aroma and flavor, but nothing else worth writing about. This is what I wrote. Sorry Clark for the crappy review, but this is all I wrote and can remember. Tick..Tick..
