Draught (Melnais Kakis, Riga) - Hazy golden/yellow in apprerance with a small foamy head. Aromatic and slightly spicy aroma with a hint of lemon meringue and banana. Refreshing taste with lemon and a light spice element along with the banana notes featuring again. It would be great if they bottled it. A nice wheat beer.

Sampled at Gothenburg Beer Festival 2008. Hazy golden with a medium white head. Fruity and earthy aroma with some cardboard notes, not much of typical Hefeweizen aromas. Dry finish.

Keg (Victory, Riga) Cloudy yellow. Spicy and banana aroma. Crisp refreshing wheat beer taste. Very authentic light wheat beer - proper respect to Aldaris for this one.

On tap in Riga. Cloudy golden colour, moderate head for a hefeweizen. Not served in appropriate glass. Basically a typical hefeweizen aroma and flavour, with strong notes of cloves - but the flavour is somewhat less fruity than many other h.w.s. Nice enough, but the finish is rather bland.

Draught
Hazy orange with cloudy white head. Sweet banana aroma. Medium-bodied. Quite dry and slightly sour with lots of wheat. Banana only in the aftertaste. Nice try.
