Deep golden color and pillowy white head. Some malt feel from heavy sugars, medium grassy lightly herbal hop aroma, soft mouthfeel - light medium effervescence. Light caramels. My favorite Latvian beer. Although it’s not easy drinking, it’s a good light lager.

Weak aroma of tobacco. Golden clear with a medium peach colored head, some lacing. Bready honey and wheat flavor with a tart lemon finish. Distinctive and good.

Pale golden beer with a fast fading white head. Aroma is quite nice and hoppy. Sort of a combination of noble zestiness over a lean light malt. It’s pretty interesting for what it is. There is a hint of something metallic in here as well that is a bit distracting but it dissipates fairly quickly. Lean and crackery malt base withlight fresh floral hoppiness. Even a bit of yeasty character on the back... quite a nice surprise.

This is decent, but more bland and mroe American-tasting than I expected, lacking the herbal hop character I usually enjoy in European lagers. It’s gold with a huge white head that steadily shrinks to a thin lasting head and leaves a little weak lace. The aroma is mostly corn tortillas with some grain, bread, grass, and pine. It’s full and pleasant, but defintiely heavy on the corn quality and lacking on hops. The taste is similar, grain, especially corn tortillas again, a light alcoholic quality, very light herbal bitterness, light zestiness, a hint of spiciness, hint of grass, and a grain-corn finish. The corn quality gets a little tiresome by the end. It’s more like a US macro lager with more flavour than many, and seems like a higher quality, cleaner, more well-crafted Red Dog, because of the dominant corn character. This also remidns me of Colt 45. Luksus is clearly better than both, but not a lot. I was hoping for something more along the lines of Svyturus, from neighbouring Lithuania, butthis lacks the herbal hop quality.

bottle. pale gold color with a rocky white head. smells of grass and grain. sweet grainy favor with a bitter grassy finish. nice head retention. certainly not the best beer I’ve ever had but it is better than I thought it would be. sort of straddles the line between pale lager and German pilsener.
