500ml bottle. Pours a deep opaque brown with big frothy beige head. Nice aroma of chocolate, dark roast, fruit, and lager yeast, and a wisp of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel with some light carbonation and creaminess. Initial sweet flavor of chocolate, black patent malt, and raisen flavors that transitions to sharp spicy alcohol bite. A mild roast and peppery finish, with hints of caramel. Lagery flavors linger. This is nice, and fairly aggressive. A nice price at 2.99 per bottle. In fact, I am going to buy the remaining ones on the shelf today

Bottle from Sean, the Olympic pole vaulter, Thanks. Pours out a brownish red color with a tan head which rapidly disappears. Smell is sweet, caramel, some alcohol, some chocolate and some roasted malt flavors. Taste is sweet and smooth without any bitterness but with plenty of caramel and sugars. A good beer, if not a tad overly sweet, but it is still refreshing and pretty thick.

Very dark brown color with about a quarter inch of light tan head. The head is quickly reduced to a thin film that leaves very little spotty lace in the glass. There is a light carmel/malty aroma that suggests a trace of alcohol as well. The strong malty flavor is very tasty. There is a lot of carmel, some chocolate-covered-raisins, and a light roasted flavor - not sharp at all. A bit of spicy hops rounds it out very nicely. Good balance. There’s more sweet carmel in the aftertaste, along with a bit of roasted grain and some alcohol. Warming and very lightly carbonated, with a medium to full body.

500 ml bottle. Dark deep ruby red colour. Clear. Creamy off-white head with a lot of larger bubbles. Acidic banana ester aroma. Lightly sweet malt aroma, but also a bit sharp. Almost Belgian-like. Notes of chocolate and coffee. Slightly roasted character in the finish. Notes of alchohol. A bit unbalanced.

From a 500 ml. bottle with a blurb and batch number on the back label. Poured a dark blackish, reddish hued cola brown with a rocky, foamy tan head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of sticking. Aromas of chocolate, licorice and caramelized sugary malts, fruity esters, minerals, and small whiffs of sweet, spicy alcohol. Good, even, moderate carbonation and a malty crisp, velvety smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant Baltic Porter with an easy smooth drinkability, chocolate, a light coffee, caramelized sugary, a subtle plum fruitiness, a light sweet spiciness, towards the end a little nuttiness, and a dryish estery, malty finish with a slight taste of sweet alcohol. A good Baltic Porter, tasty and balanced, well worth trying.

Bottle - roasty, chocolatey aroma. Dark brown body with a very light beige head. Flavor is malty, but not overly chocolatey or roasty. Actually quite mild. Good, but great.

16 OZ bottle via DEGARTH (thanks joe!).Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is licorice, figs, wood, alcohol, band aids. Everything i am rating tonight has band aid smell to some degree, what is up with that? Well fortunately the taste has all the same as the aroma but MINUS the band-aid! Also there is some raisin and chocolate flavor. Smooth finish and easy to drink. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Am surprised this is ony 6.8% abv as the alcohol really comes through in both the nose and the finish.

Medium coarse light beige head. Deep, dark red body, barely translucent. Faint, milky aroma with licorice and marzipan notes. Taste is light, sweetish licorice with roasty notes. Bitterish, coffeeish afteraste. Alcohol notes. Decent. (0.5l bottle.)
