1pt .09oz bottle via trade with kramer17801- Thanks Jason! - Pours very deep brown with a nice tan head that faded back to a film and laced down the glass. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, coffee, and roasted malts. Flavor is like sweetened coffee, also notes of chocolate and caramel and some smoke. Soft, smooth creamy mouthfeel without much carbonation. An easy drinker for a baltic. And my first Latvian brew!

Seriously, I really wanted to enjoy this but as soon as it hit my tongue I thought I was drinking the juice from a thousand cigarette butts marinated in celery/coffee stock. Slight sweetness.

Bottle. Clear cola colour. Large beige head with fairly good retension. Aroma of roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate and hops. Flavour or lightly roasted malt, sweet caramel, alcohol, dark chocolate, and a hint of smokiness. Very smooth. Nice, but the bittersweet overshadows the roasted malts a bit too much for my taste.

a gift from my friend juha in finland. sweet caramel aroma, and some earthy smoky smells as well. some more chocolate and caramel and a little bit of smoke in the flavor as well. tangy malt finish which is just not quite sweet enough to make it sticky, but it’s still very enjoyable, even if a bit harsh. thanks juha!
