| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2005 Bottle. Nice chewy smell of raisins and molasses right out of the bottle. Pours a deep brown under a thick brown head, wafting the smell of brown sugar and cola through the room Taste is a little fruity, with a bit of dark roast malt astringency following. Touch of chocolate, molasses or rum. Despite its low price and doubtless roundabout way of getting to my glass, it is indeed a nice, robust, well-made porter. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Nov 5, 2005 Sweet vinous, fruity aroma has some alcohol and some roast apparent. Clear mahogany brown body with shy, large bubbled tan head that recedes immediately to a very slight ring. Extremely sweet and somewhat boozy with strong sugary fruit character and some light roast. Medium body with very low carbonation that feels very still and unexciting in the mouth. I guess this bottle wasn’t in the best of shape. Half pint glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (State Line Liquors, MD, Oct-05). joergen (8601), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Dark reddish brown with small head. Sweet dark malt and brown sugar/molasses flavor with mild hops and chocolate finish. Body fairly light for a porter. Very good but may be too light for some. jbrus (4864), Delft, Netherlands

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Pours a transluscent brown with a light head. Roasty taste with traces of something that reminds me of soy sauce and a pretty weak finish. A bit too thin in the mouth, too. Definitely drinkable, but could be better.
