| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Little over the top on sweetness for this beer. Even for the style. Poured with a huge light tan, foamy, frothy head and some lace. Color is dark mahoganey. Aroma is malty and a little roasty. Flavor is more full and also includes some caramel and dark ripe fruit. Malty sweetness rules here. Body is full and lush with good carbonation. Finish is exactly what you’d expect in this case - same as above. Almost tastes and feels like a milk or cream beer. Bit sweet for a session. zdk (274), New York, USA
