| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 27, 2007 perfumed radiator fluid smell; mabye Chanel’s ethylene glycol #5?. Mix in two parts table sugar to the taste and some really old, semi-viscous corn sugar that dripped down behind the heating duct and remains there in quasi-suspension, creeping down behind the wall like annual iceberg movement on the arctic shelf. This beer can’t decide if it wants to be a light lager or a malt liquor, and the two warring factions don’t call a truce for your taste buds. Avoid this one like frat bar bathrooms on ten-cent draft night. Dorqui (1365), Brescia, Italy

Compact and adherent head, discreet persistence and fullness. Fraught yellow color with copper glares; discreet and fine fizz. Modest scent, mostly malty and cereals. Slightly prickly taste, alcoholic and sweetish... anyhow balanced. Good alcoholic content with aromas of must, sugar and malt.
Thanks to mabjork for this beer. larsga (3000), Oslo, Norway
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Oct 27, 2006 Big creamy offwhite head with some larger bubbles. Bronze body with some carbonation. Sweetish, grainy aroma with notes of perfume and marzipan, with a whiff of rubber and some alcohol. Strong sweet malty and grainy taste with hoppy notes and a touch of caramel. Very smooth mouthfeel, almost a bit oily. Dry, metallic aftertaste with roasty notes and some chalk. Quite a bit of taste, so even if I’m not too fond of all the components of the taste, at least the beer isn’t boring. (0.5l bottle.) after4ever (2840), Brier, Washington, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/20 | May 1, 2006 Half-liter bottle. Pours a light copper color with a white sheet of bubbles that’s less a head on top of the beer than a film on the surface of the beer. Big soap esters cloaked around a not-so-come-hither updraft of perfume-y business. Slightly more appealing is the taste, which is less soap and perfume than just...well, soap. Pretty much tastes like an American mega-lager with about 5% less water in the boil. Not sure where the "European strong" came in. atalus (16), Riga, Latvia
