The flavor, though, was surprisingly pretty good. Definite fruity touch to it and it was fairly sweet, but not filled with a bunch of adjuncts. I’d go back to this as a nice summer lager. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 19, 2006 Crisp malty flavour. Shiny gold can. Probably bagged a sixpack in the airport. Bead disappears after about 5mins. A bit like drinking lager cordial. Nevertheless, a worthwhile souvenir of any Latvian expedition. igneous1 (1374), Davenport, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2006 hazy pale golden color, huge frothy white head. aroma was somewhat sour, and not really oxidized as i’d have suspected. flavor was a spot tart, fairly malty and very mild oxidation notes. this one actually surprised me a bit....probably due to the brown bottle. Aroma of citrus, sweet malts. Flavor is sweet, citrusy, and a dry finish. Better than US macro brews. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Bottle. Pours yellow/gold with a minimal white head. Aroma of citrus, sweet malts, slight hops to the nose. Flavor is sweet, citrusy, slight hops giving way to a dry finish, nothing great, but it was drinkable. thin watery body, average brew maybe slightly less, but more enjoyable then the big US macros.
