Caramel amber colored with poofy, off-white head. Smells of toasty pilsen malt redolent of Munich Oktoberfests past lift through the nostrils and into the soul. Easy nutty body, wisps of caramel and accented by Munich and Vienna Malts. Doughy. Hops provide balance, but don’t stand out. A hint of spice and citrus. Bitter-sour pilsen finish.

Bottle:   Dirty golden, hazy, large frothy white head, thick lacing.   A little lighter and less Amber in color than most.   But still looks inviting.   Reminds me more of a Triple.   Soft mealy based malty nose, subtle grass or hay.   Mealy on the tongue, certainly malty, pale, a little bit of straw.   Towards the end it does pick up a little bit of a chemical astringency, very minor tho.   Not have bad overall.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Malty finish.   Better than many German examples I have had.   Only some minor things that I would tweak, but other than that, one of the better Aldergrove I have had in a while.

12 oz bottle from Bottleworks; Nose of floral hops with a light necatrine fruitiness and a light yeastiness; Hazy yellow-orange with a huge yellow-tinged, glasslacing head; flavor has light bitterness, caramel, apples and peaches; finish is lightly bitter with some fruity notes.

Bottle: Pours a copper bronze color with a nice sticky white head and clean sheets of lacing. The nose is sweet and floral, light toasted pumpkin seed and a grassy juniper and hop note with some peach, maybe some glue. The flavor is...I would put the mouthfeel first. A fizzy/fuzzy creaminess that makes each drink feel like a little fun snap on the tongue. The flavor is sweet and bready with some light fruit and continued doughiness. Finishes light and refreshing with a hint of fruit and spice. Nice oktoberfest.

Clear amber with a frothy head. Nice malt driven sweet bread aromas. Smooth medium body. Good taste is mostly sweet bread caramel malts with some light roasted malt. Liquid sweet bread here. Good stuff.

Received 12-oz bottle via trade with 5000. Pours a hazy caramel amber brew with a very thick and lumpy head that hold a retention that could last until tomorrow. Aroma of caramel malt, some light pear, sweet sugar cookie dough and a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is smooth, creamy, medium bodied, with flavors of light caramel malt, some apple/pear fuit, flowery hops and a touch of cotton candy. Finish is semi-sweet with a mild caramel aftertate that quickly disappears.

Bottle. Pours light hazy apricot with a massive, towering, fluffy, persistent, lacy off-white head. Light aroma of brown sugar, toast, fruit. Light body and full carbonation. Lots of caramel in the taste, with some cookie dough, citrus and grass. Crisp and somewhat floral finish.
