phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 8, 2009 Not sure why i never rated this, but i had it today on tap at the Ale Asylum here in Madison: Poured a bright beautiful golden colour with a huge frothy white head. Immediate spices on the nose with yeasy esters overflowing. Taste is smooooooooth, but you can taste a little hotness in the finish. Soft spice again, but flowery notes overdubbing this brew. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 4, 2009 Had on tap at the brewpub. It was a bit spicy and slightly overbearing for the style, but really not too bad. esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 5, 2009 On tap at Ale Asylum brewpub. Dark amber with a long lasting creamy tan head that leaves some patches of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, spicy Belgian yeast, sugar and mild banana. Flavors of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, spice and malt. Body is smooth yet a touch grainy and it finishes up moderately dry with some spicy fruit mixed in. Petrucci914 (574), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 21, 2009 On tap at the Asylum. Pours a hazy golden color with a small soapy head. Aroma is grainy, slight citrus, orange zest, banana, and spices. Taste is much the same. Very easy drinking but nothing special, as are most Belgians these days. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Sep 30, 2008 (Draught) Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, grains of parasite, coriander, banana, and pears. Flavor of spicy yeast, orange peel, coriander, raisins, and caramel malt. keoki182 (305), West Bend, Wisconsin, USA Jan 20, 2008 A decent Belgian ale...light reddish in color with sweet malt aroma. Nice and drinkable, but I preferred the Diablo. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Nov 18, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a hazy dark copper amber with a nicely-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh, lightly biscuity Belgian malt with a touch of yeast and light citrus. Body starts fairly full with some nice lightly sweet caramel malt and an orange citrus balance toward a bready, semi-dry finish. A nice Belgian ale. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 06/22/2007
