Extra points for the name alone! A fair lookig little lassy with a reddish glow. A fruity basket with enough vinous notes for interest. Finishes dry enough to sweep out the fruit leaving a note of brandy. Fine. On my second try was not as good though.

Smell of cloves, medium bodied, average carbonation. Can taste cloves, alcohol, and a hint of bread. Fantastic!

On tap at the brewpub. The body was light copper colored with a creamy off white head on top. The aroma was lots of banana with some cinnamon. As it warmed I thought it smelled more of bubblegum. The taste was bananas and cinnamon spice. There was a little grassy funk in the finish. This was very drinkable.

On tap at the Ale Asylum Brew Pub. Poured a deeper amberish / brownish color with a small sized off white head. Had a light haze to it. Aromas of bananas, spices, raisins, plums and some yeast. Tastes of fruits, raisins, caramel, and spices.

Not sure why i never rated this, but i had it today on tap at the Ale Asylum here in Madison: Poured a bright beautiful golden colour with a huge frothy white head. Immediate spices on the nose with yeasy esters overflowing. Taste is smooooooooth, but you can taste a little hotness in the finish. Soft spice again, but flowery notes overdubbing this brew.

On tap at Ale Asylum brewpub. Dark amber with a long lasting creamy tan head that leaves some patches of lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, spicy Belgian yeast, sugar and mild banana. Flavors of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, spice and malt. Body is smooth yet a touch grainy and it finishes up moderately dry with some spicy fruit mixed in.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/22/07: Pours a hazy dark copper amber with a nicely-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh, lightly biscuity Belgian malt with a touch of yeast and light citrus. Body starts fairly full with some nice lightly sweet caramel malt and an orange citrus balance toward a bready, semi-dry finish. A nice Belgian ale.
